What are my options as i cant rotate engine can i take the belt of and turn camshaft and the crankshaft until they line up with the factory timing marks then put belt back on and tension belt and try to see if the engine will rotate then line up?

I'm not saying everyone will get this problem and if you are lucky you may never experience the issues with these engines, but the ones that do, have a nightmare and it normally starts from the turbo. Compare pricing, distributors & save. 1.6 hdi (12,000 miles or 2 years) it has been evident in my experience that these recommendations are way too far apart. 1.6 hdi sufferers from dpf and soot problems if they only do town driving, otherwise they are pretty reliable.
